The assembly of the front suspension is going well.
Nice to see the difference with how it was!

The rear axle is completely disassembled.
Fortunately all bearings, bushings and crown and pinion wheel are in a good shape.
In the meanwhile some nice new parts for the front suspension have been delivered.

Today I picked up the Pagode at the blaster.
It looks like a completely other car in the zinc epoxy color!

Nice to see all the original spot weldings, now the bottom is blasted.
Fortunately no nasty surprises, just some little holes to repair.

At the and of this year I still repaired some small holes in the bottom.
The next step will be replacing a part of the floor.

The housing of the LH headlight was bad, but now it is restored.
The trick is now to keep this place in the front fender free form dirt.

    Eric,
    Looking good, very fine work:):)
BTW, did you fabricate that repair section for the lower front fender section yourself or was it a prefabricated one?:2cent:
You are working fast. Love to see your progress.
    Keep on the good work.

    Best,
    Achim

    Hi Achim,
    Thank you.
I used a part of a patch panel, like on the picture:

There was a bad repaired spot at the back which was also slightly bent inwards, compared to the straight green line.
So also here I welded a part of the back section.

This is not because it's cold in the garage.
It could have been art, but it's not.
It's just protection against 3M™ Body Gard which is going to be sprayed against the bottom. ;D
